Menlo Park, CA - Meta announced that it would discontinue its laundry service for employees at its office buildings. The news is tragic for moms whose children are still stuck at home due to CA's exorbitant housing market.
"I already make my son's bed," one Mom lamented. "Not having to do his laundry was a major employee perk for me. I may delete my Facebook account over this."
"Another mom within the Generation X age bracket was overheard yelling, "These clothes aren't going to wash themselves!"
As for the employees who still live with their parents, the response is pretty much unanimous. They agree that they don't care who washes their clothes...
...it just ain't going to be them.
"Wash my own clothes?" laughed one Facebook employee when asked about the expiring perk. "Haha. That's a good one."
Meta, as usual, has been unsympathetic about the situation.
"There will be no laundry when we all live in the metaverse anyway, so we're not sure what all the fuss is about," a Meta HR director said.
